Dogcember update

horiz tea

The 2013 dogcember event lasted all of december and was a great success, raising over three thousand dollars! That’s one thousand more than last year!!!

Pictured is the view from The Tea Room Gunners Barracks, who donated just one of the prizes for sale, an exquisite sparkling Afternoon Tea. This prize raised money in the silent auction and was won by Kerrie May. Kerrie loved it so much she went to Gunners Barracks and bought a second one for a friend.

We are so grateful to our generous sponsors:

Mosman Village Yoga, The Rancan Sisters, Frenchy’s cafe, Divine Creatures, The Tea Room Gunners Barracks, Thomas Dux Grocers, Mosman Smiles Dental Surgery, See Spot Run dog training and walking, Puppoose, Petbarn, Mosman Massage. Mosman Yoga Coop, Idexx Laboratories, Bayer Animal Health, Novartis, Woolworths Liquor Group, Elanco, Treats A La Bark, PAW, Booktopia, Boehringer, Pet Genie,  Ben and Jerry’s, Kindifarm, and our many friends who bring their pets to see us.

Congratulations to Claire Jorgenson and Gai Englefield, Cathie Ross and Melinda Fallon who won the Family Hamper, the Thomas Dux Hamper, and handmade quilt raffles. First Second and Third places in the colouring contest went to Lucia Brown, aged 10 (1st – winning a pillow pet) , Allegra Brown aged 7 (2nd)  and Francesca Brown aged 12 (3rd) , which kept all the glory in one family!

Thanks again to our incredibly generous sponsors!

The online competition will stay open all 2014 and be judged next dogcember, so feel free to dress up your dashing dog or cooperative cat at any time, take a photo and upload it to this website! Go on! Get your kids to show you how. Just click the “submit photo” button at the top right hand side of the homepage. Then choose your photo. Lastly please donate $10 as your entry fee by pressing the “donate now” button. Your pet will be poised for international adoration and you will be helping to relieve the suffering of many innocent animals.

Thanks for being good sports and joining in the fun. Together we can change how we treat our vulnerable species, by simply having a laugh with family, friends and our beloved pets.

See you soon at The Barracks Vet!
